Toronto Project (1993)

When still a curator at the Art Gallery of Ontario, I proposed this large-scale exhibition of the history of contemporary Toronto art. I left before there was any discussion of it. Had I not left, would it have taken place, given that under a new regime I was forced out and my legacy (of creating a history of Toronto art) subsequently erased? I doubt it. That an exhibition of the same name is taking place at the AGO September 2016, nearly twenty-five years later, tells you a lot!
